What gear actually sells for.
PedalPriceTracking is an independent reference and collection service built to make guitar-pedal values clear, variant-aware, and useful.
How market values are calculated
Completed sales are preferred over current asking prices. The pricing engine begins with the most recent 90 days, uses the median of qualified sales, and can extend to 180 days or one year when the sample is sparse. A value is normally withheld until roughly three qualified sales exist.
How sales are qualified
Incoming listings are matched to brand, model, variant, and condition with a confidence rating. Duplicates, parts-only listings, unrelated bundles, broken items, and obvious outliers are excluded. Medium-confidence matches wait for administrator review; low-confidence matches do not affect values.
Conditions and variants
Marketplace conditions are normalized conservatively to Brand New, B-Stock, Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, Non-Functioning, or Unspecified Used. Country or revision is never guessed when a listing does not establish it.
Why our values may differ from asking prices
PedalPriceTracking is focused on what gear actually sells for, rather than simply what sellers currently ask. Historical values are estimates, not guaranteed resale prices.
Data sources and independence
Permitted data from marketplaces such as Reverb, eBay, and Sweetwater Used may contribute after approved API, feed, or import access is configured. PedalPriceTracking is independent and is not owned by or affiliated with those marketplaces.
Corrections
A reporting and review workflow is planned so collectors can flag incorrect matches while public pricing records remain administrator-controlled.
